We live in a busy world where we are always in a state of go go go. There are always things to do and places to go. In the midst of all the hustle and bustle, I like to take a few minutes each day to read some blog articles that I enjoy. Blog articles are not as consequential as newspaper articles but are much more substantial than Facebook posts.
I’m pretty selective when it comes to which blogs I follow because I don’t have a lot of time to sift through useless or meaningless content. I look for blogs that do at least one of the following: add value to my life, inspire me, and/or entertain me.
Below are some of the blogs that I follow on a regular basis:
1. Home decor and renovations: Centsational Girl
This is a great blog to follow to see the latest trends in decor and home renovations. I get my home improvement kick from this blog and my favorite Fixer Upper episodes on HGTV.
2. Reading/travel/style: Feather Factor
Kat curates interesting articles that I enjoy reading and she also finds luxury goods on sale around the web. She had a series of interviews with interesting people. This was one of my favorite interviews.
3. Style/beauty/home/family: Veronika’s Blushing
I have been following Veronika’s blog for 4 years now and I continue to read her blog because she’s genuine and relatable. She is a career mom with two young kids and writes about style, decor, beauty, and family.
4. Style: 9 to 5 Chic
Anh runs a personal style blog based in San Francisco. I like that her outfits are always stylish and chic without being too “out there.”
5. Beauty and make-up: From Head To Toe
Jen has been blogging and making you tube video tutorials since 2008 and there is a wealth of information on her blog. I learned how to curl my hair properly from one of her many video tutorials.
We all have friends who are particularly stylish or adept at balancing work and parenting and we look to them as a resource for inspiration and advice. I have followed some of these bloggers for years, so I have picked up bits and pieces about their personal lives. It’s funny because I think of them as though they are my friends, but they have no idea who I am!
What are your favorite blogs to follow? Since I follow multiple blogs, I use Bloglovin as a platform to read all my favorite blogs on one site.
