Stylish and affordable clothes from Old Navy and H&M

Is it just me, or is every fashion magazine and blogger promoting more and more expensive clothes, bags and shoes these days?  Today, I’m going to recommend a few items from Old Navy and H&M that are both stylish and affordable.

1. Embroidered chambray swing dress

I bought this a few weeks ago and have worn it several times already.  It is lightweight and comfortable, has a nice embroidered detail, and washes beautifully without wrinkling.  Highly recommend.

2. Twill Field Jacket

This is the perfect transitional piece that allows for layering as we head into the fall season.  I love the camel, hunter green, and khaki colors and can’t decide which one to go for.  You can wear it open and use the drawstrings to help define the waistline or pop the collar and zip it up.

3. Sleeveless sheath dress for work

I have not personally tried this on but the reviews online look promising.  Both the gray and black colors can be dressed up with statement necklaces and scarves.  Best of all, it is machine washable!

4. Cotton waist-cinched blouse

This statement top is affordable ($25) and can be dressed up for work or down for the weekends.  See it on Anh from 9 to 5 Chic.

What are your favorite affordable finds this season?  I am always looking for recommendations.

  1. I totally agree. The magazines say the designer outfit is $3,000. Then they say, this “bargain” outfit is $700. Who doesn’t love a real bargain?! Thanks for keeping it real.
