I love cooking for my family on the weekends but I’m not much of a baker. In fact, I haven’t baked much since my high school days. As a freshmen, I took a cooking class and learned how to bake biscuits. Ever since then, I’ve been addicted to the flaky melt-in-your-mouth treats.
When I saw that there was a biscuit recipe in the Magnolia Table cookbook by Joanna Gaines, I knew I had to give it a try. The recipe was easy to follow and there was enough to bake half and save half (freeze unbaked) to enjoy later.

If you’re thinking of making some, here are my two tips:
1. Use cold butter and thoroughly cut the butter into pea sized pieces. Do not melt the butter.
2. Do not over mix the dry and wet ingredients.
